Overview

UK government policy recommends CBT as the treatment of choice for Anxiety, Depression and other mental health disorders. But there are still insufficient practitioners trained to meet this need.

Our Practitioners Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy provides the knowledge and skill to help you start a new career in psychotherapy, enhance your existing career and improve your wellbeing.

Students who have completed this course are now working as CBT psychotherapists in a variety of settings. Others are integrating it into their existing jobs such as social work, counselling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, pastoral care and addictions.

CBT is one of the fastest growing therapies in the mental health sector with an ever increasing client demand.

Students with a certificate or completed modules in CBT can proceed to this Diploma.

CBT Testimonials

Easily accessible, quiet and peaceful venue, the course was very well researched; the content was very informative and engaging, presented with excellent PowerPoint and notes. I enjoyed very minuet of it. In comparison to similar courses it was very good value for money. I have been able to integrate the tools and techniques with good results. My learning about CBT is invaluable and I had positive interactions with the student group.
(Sara Donovan, Rape Crises Counsellor).

I feel I have made personal changes during this course, I feel that I have gained the skills and techniques to pull myself back up after distressing experiences at work and change my thoughts patterns when Negative Automatics Thought arrive. I would strongly recommend this course to others. Compared to other schools of training I have experienced, CHATS was excellent. Kathleen Doherty (Child Social Worker/ Counsellor ).
