I began my counselling journey many years ago and having been out of formal education for some time, I was nervous and apprehensive about returning to study. Ready and motivated to return to counselling, and in comparison with other CBT courses, this was absolutely the right choice for me.

I found the content to be very well researched, engaging and informative. The delivery was excellent, allowing for discussion and at a pace which was comfortable and inclusive to everyone. This coupled with Helena’s level of experience and knowledge allowed for a very productive and positive learning environment.

This course also changed me personally. My self-confidence and self-belief grew throughout and I knew I had made the right decision. I was able to gain an insight into my own thought processes and put the skills I had learned into practice. A learning which is lifelong.

I would strongly recommended this course. The support from Helena and other students provides a safe, fun and very enjoyable experience whilst being taught and skilled to a high level. Professionally I am able to integrate CBT, enhancing my work with young people and beyond.

I highly recommend the CHATS diploma course – which was well structured, useful, with well explained concepts and comprehensive downloadable resources. The material was very clear, and complex concepts were made very accessible for new learners as well as those who know the fundamentals of psychology!

While the work was challenging, over the duration of the course I can wholeheartedly say that I experienced personal growth – similarly to the growth a person gains through their efforts completing a course of CBT – which likewise will guide me personally, and as a therapist, in the future.

I completed my Practitioner's Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with Dr Helena Schlindwein in 2020 and it was the best training I have ever experienced. Helena is a wealth of knowledge and experience and made the experience really interactive, engaging and interesting.

The training has provided me with the tools and competence I needed to help young people who are suffering from depression, anxiety and other mental health issues. I would highly recommend this training to anyone working with young people or adults in this area.

Helena’s CBT Practitioners Course (online) is an excellent choice to get you up and running as a qualified CBT therapist, recognised by several governing bodies, confident to deal with a range of psychiatric disorders with an evidence-based practice.

You learn the history of CBT and how it relates to other treatment modalities. By the end of the course, you will have completed 2 essays, 16 case studies in detail and completed 12-16 hours of real-life case work, supervised by your clinical supervisor, and written up 2, 4,000-word case studies, based on your live work. You’ll have also reflected on your learning and practice throughout and made several new therapy friends you can discuss your work with.

The course is intense but very doable along with your day job, as it’s online one weekend a month. It's a perfect course to build on other treatment modalities you may already be using and to use as a structure to integrate other psychological treatment models you may be interested in.
